Anne White

Anne White has studied Raqs Sharqi for nearly 20 years, and has been a performer and teacher since 1990.
She is based in London, and participates at national events throughout the UK:: Brighton Orient, Majma, Raqs Brittania and Midlands Arabic Dance Extravaganza and an International Festival in Hungary.

A graduate of the Hilal School, now known as the Raqs Sharqi Society,
Anne teaches weekly from complete beginners to professional performance level.
She teaches men, women and children
She is known for her playful and joyful dancing and her teaching which occasionally has mischievous overtones
She manages Planet Egypt which promotes popular Arabic music, dance and culture and works closely with dancers from other Oriental disciplines - sometimes with singers and live music. The website offers many resources to lovers of this dance.
